Jack & Libby Hardy, Kansas “We have just had the most fun at Quartz Creek Lodge during all of our visits there! Quartz Creek Lodge is an oasis of comfort in a truly remote and pristine setting. The fishing is extraordinary and the guides are very attentive to your needs and committed to finding the fish. The opportunity to view whales, brown bear, eagles, seals, puffins and so much other wildlife is truly special. Pam and the girls are such great cooks and so creative in their menu … can you say ‘FRESH crab legs’? My parents who are in their late 70’s had a wonderful trip there with us in 2009 and even floated the river. We cannot get enough of Quartz Creek!” Photo of Libby Hardy with our son, Aaron, holding her prize Halibut

The Kodiak Island adventure you'd like to make a reality can happen here at Quartz Creek Lodge on remote Uganik Bay.
A short, scenic float-plane ride across the island is just the beginning of the adventure. Uganik Bay is comprised of three massive arms: the Northeast, South and East Arms, Uganik Passage and Terror Bay. You will see new territory every day whether your passion is Sea Kayaking, Saltwater or Freshwater Fishing, Wildlife Viewing, or Photography.
There is so much to see and do here that our guests wish they could never leave. The pristine waters of Uganik Bay are surrounded by the natural beauty of the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge. You will likely view most of Kodiak's animals as well as a vast array of birds and wildflowers, in their natural habitat. One of the objectives of the National Wildlife Refuge, and ours, is to preserve these unique ecosystems. Learning about them will be an important aspect of your visit to Uganik Bay.
